Liz Goes Cruising

I stayed on Cunard Queen Victoria. It is a beautiful ship, very elegant and Edwardian in style. Cunard offers exceptional attention to detail with unparalleled White Star Service. The food  was amazing some of the best I have ever had. They offer two dining times 6.00 pm or 8.30 pm and this coincides with the West End Shows and evening entertainment.

There are formal nights on Victoria these normally involve a themed Ball, around the ship if you wanted something a little bit quieter there will be live music like a pianist or harpist. The age range is for the more mature client. The beauty is most of the cruises sail from Southampton so your holiday stats as soon as you board the ship.

On this cruise we had a balcony cabin which we really made the most of as we were on deck 11 and mid ship, a fabulous location. I would definitely recommend this ship, the food was extremely good and the entertainment was very varied. This ship is family friendly with lots of activities. The price of wines and beers are the same as you would pay in your local pub £5.50 for a large glass of wine.

My recommendation when you sail with P&O cruises is to settle your account with a credit card. If you use your debit card as authorization they will hold around £700.00 on pre authorization and this takes about a month to get back into your bank account.

My favorite cruise I have been on is Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas this ship took my breath away as it is huge. The facilities on board are second to none, there is something to do all day every day, from the climbing wall to the flow rider and boxing ring to the ice-skating ring. The ship is full of glitz and glamor, and the food and entertainment are amazing. The fantastic main restaurant is over three decks with exceptional food and service. After dinner there are a show on ice and the Labyrinth night club where we danced to the early hours. I would really recommend this ship and look forward to sailing on her again one day.
